Meet Rachel
How it began...
Hello, I'm Rachel a wedding and lifestyle photographer.
I first started in photography when I got a little point and shoot Fujifilm in my teen years. I started to get really creative with my shots and editing, until I realised this is what I love. I went on to study photography and digital media, which grew and developed my love for photographing people, and in time that became all I wanted to shoot. I spent some time travelling and then working in fashion, but I fought the idea of starting a business because I thought that was a crazy idea. After getting married myself, watching my own wedding photographer work, and with a lot of encouragement and support from my husband, I decided to start Rachel Davies Photography. I absolutely love what I do, and I feel so grateful to be able to say that.
My highest aim in photography, is to create photos you will love looking at again, and again. I would absolutely love to work with you and capture your story.

I thought I would leave a few bits about me below, so you can get to know who you'd be working with!
I live with my husband, Geraint, in Greater London. I met my husband on the beach (how romantic is that?!), and we knew very quickly into our relationship that we were made for each other. We laugh together so much! We had a beautiful wedding in the Surrey hills in July 2019.
I am half Kiwi and half English. My favourite places I've travelled are New Zealand and Italy. My ideal holiday is one with beaches and mountains, as being in the water is definitely my happy place. I also love exploring villages and going on a classic Surrey hills walk, compliment that with a roast dinner, and hey we have a winner!
My family is really important to me and I'm really close to them, we get on so well and have the best memories together. I'm also a massive lover of cats, they are so funny, and incredibly therapeutic!
I'm a big Taylor Swift fan and love a sing-a-long. In my spare time, you'll find me playing badminton or painting with a good supply of chocolate.

"Our initial reaction to the photos was wow! We still can't stop looking through them! I have ordered half of them for print (oops) and we already had family flick through them. Also, I was trying to pick 12-13 photos for a wall calendar but ended up making a collage for each month because there were just too many favourites!
Rachel captured our special day so beautifully. All the little details, people's emotions, the atmosphere of each venue. Even the rain and strong wind didn't stop her from producing quality shots of us on the tennis court!
